Since the IFIC “
Consumer Perceptions of Food Technology Survey
” was last conducted in 2010, we have seen increasing coverage of biotechnology and modern food production issues in traditional and social media. This year, we were interested to see how consumer perceptions may have changed over the last two years as a result. What we found was that in fact, consumer perceptions of food technology haven’t changed all that much, and in some cases, they were more favorable than in 2010.
