What is the International Food Information Council Foundation?

For those who are new to us, the International Food Information Council Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public education foundation whose mission is to effectively communicate science-based information about health, food safety and nutrition for the public good.  Our work is based on the totality of the science, and we produce educational materials that can be endorsed by the scientific community at large.  We’re supported primarily by the food, beverage and agriculture industries and have a Board of Trustees made up of members from some of those companies as well as the majority representing respected academic  and government institutes from around the country.  The Foundation is unique in that we don’t promote products, lobby, or advocate on behalf of specific companies.  For more questions please refer to our FAQ.
