The IFIC Foundation will host a webcast for health professionals to provide key findings from the IFIC Foundation 2011 Food & Health Survey: Consumers Attitudes Toward Food Safety, Nutrition & Health.

This Survey provides valuable insights on how Americans view their own diets, their efforts to improve them, how they balance diet and exercise, their actions when it comes to food safety practices, and much more.

The health professional community is a critical message multiplier when it comes to communicating with consumers.  Health professionals, including registered dietitians, educators, academicians and government officials, interface directly with consumers and can bridge the gap between information dissemination and consumer understanding. Health professionals are vital to helping consumers achieve and sustain positive behavior change and healthful lifestyles.

Mark your calendars for Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 11:30 am EDT to participate in a webcast that will provide key takeaways such as:

  •  Understand consumer insights about today's major food & health topics;
  • Identify misinformation and lack of understanding that exist for consumers about energy balance; and
  • Recognize consumers' knowledge gap between the recommended 2010 Dietary Guidelines actions and actual reported behavior.

The Foundation will offer free continuing professional education (CPE) credits for those who participate in the live webcast.
