Foods For Health


Food is an essential part of our lives, and consumer interest in foods that provide health and wellness benefits, or functional foods, is thriving. These foods for health may play a role in improving overall well-being and reducing or minimizing the risk of certain diseases and other health conditions. From whole grains for heart health, calcium and vitamin D for bone health to probiotics for digestive health, a majority of Americans believe that foods have specific health benefits and remain interested in learning more.

The International Food Information Council has over a decade of consumer research providing consumers’ attitudes, perceptions and behaviors regarding functional foods.
