2010 Food & Health Survey: Consumer Attitudes toward Food Safety, Nutrition, and Health
The 2010 Food & Health Survey: Consumer Attitudes toward Food Safety, Nutrition, and Health, conducted by the International Food Information Council Foundation, is the fifth annual, nationally representative, quantitative study designed to gain insights from consumers on various food safety, nutrition, and health-related topics. The 2010 Survey repeated many of the questions asked in previous years; however several new questions were added to better understand consumers’ knowledge and practices regarding caloric intake vs. exercise, physical activity levels and motivators, protein, sodium, caffeine, and food shopping destinations. Interest in Environment & Sustainability Prevails in Food Technology Survey
The International Food Information Council (IFIC) 2010 “Consumer Perceptions of Food Technology” survey found that consumers support the use of food biotechnology when they consider its potential benefits for reducing the impact of food and food production on the environment, and for improving sustainability. Public Comments to President's Task Force on Childhood Obesity
The International Food Information Council Foundation submitted public comments to the President’s Task Force on Childhood Obesity, highlighting its decade of experience and insights on the issue. The comments focused on findings from several Foundation research projects and resources, including its annual Food & Health Survey and kidnetic.com.
