NewsBite: New Research: Plant Biotechnology Symposium Proceedings Published in Supplement to Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry

Fifteen scientific papers comprise a special new supplement, “Safety of GM Crops: Compositional Analysis Symposium,” published in September 2013 in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. The original symposium, hosted by the International Life Sciences Institute (ILSI) International Food Biotechnology Committee (IFBiC)  in September 2012, addressed various aspects of safety, development, and composition of plant breeding and biotechnology from a scientific perspective. International experts in plant breeding and crop composition presented research addressing four key themes, including conventional development of new crop varieties, development of crops using modern biotechnology, methods of compositional analysis, and interpretation of compositional data. A list of the papers with links to download the full pdfs is available on the ILSI IFBiC website.
