(Washington, D.C.) — The International Food Information Council (IFIC) Foundation is helping consumers “Eat Right, Your Way, Every Day,” during National Nutrition Month®.

“We want people to know that good nutrition does not always have to mean saying ‘no’ to your food preferences and traditions,” said Marianne Smith Edge, MS, RD, LD, FADA, Senior Vice President, Nutrition & Food Safety, International Food Information Council Foundation.  “Through videos, blogs and other materials throughout this month, we will show how to incorporate the foods you love as part of a healthful eating plan tailored to your needs.”

In addition to a diverse array of resources available, the IFIC Foundation’s registered dietitians have produced a series of videos demonstrating how, during March, they “Eat Right, Your Way, Every Day.”

The IFIC Foundation also is encouraging registered dietitians and non-dietitians alike to get into the act and submit a short, casual video showing the world how they put the National Nutrition Month theme into action. Visit our Facebook page for details about the contest and the fabulous prizes in store for the winners and to enter today!

The IFIC Foundation’s blog and website will be a hub of activity and the source of the latest publications and other information about National Nutrition Month activities. There will be at least four new blogs posted this month, along with other informational materials related to diet, healthful eating and incorporating physical activity.

All around the country this March, registered dietitians, dietetic technicians registered, students, and other health and nutrition professionals, are celebrating the 40th anniversary of National Nutrition Month® by promoting optimal health through sound eating and physical activity.

The IFIC Foundation also would like to thank all the hard working registered dietitians for the crucial role they play in helping Americans eat well every day by recognizing their contributions on “Registered Dietitian Day,” March 13.
