Geraldine McCann serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the International Food Information Council (IFIC) in Washington, DC, a nonprofit organization that communicates sound, science-based information on nutrition and food safety to health professionals, educators, government officials, journalists, and consumers.
In her role at IFIC, McCann is responsible for management of all financial, administrative and human resources programs.
Prior to joining IFIC, McCann was Operations Manager for the Jewish War Veterans of the U.S.A., a nonprofit organization representing Jewish veterans of American wars.
Originally from Ireland, McCann spent four years in Paris, France as an English language assistant at the International Herald Tribune before immigrating to the United States.
McCann is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and the Society for Human Resource Management.
