Nancy M. Childs, Ph.D., is Professor of Food Marketing and Peck Fellow in the Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA. She has over 100 publications, proceedings and book chapters addressing food labels and marketing, as well as health claim policy, obesity, and consumer and commercialization issues with healthy foods. Present research examines consumer pursuit of grocery e-commerce and attitudes towards grocery mobile apps.
She was named a 2014 Woman of Influence in the Food Industry. Among several food policy activities she serves as the national representative for Food Retailing and Marketing Interests for the USDA’s Secretary’s NAREEE advisory board and participates in the White House’s pursuit of food marketing to children. She also serves on the International Food Information Council (IFIC) Foundation Board of Trustees. She contributes globally on the above topics and speaks frequently at academic and food industry forums.
