Silvia Dumitrescu serves as Senior Vice President, Communications & Marketing, for the International Food Information Council Foundation working with subject-matter experts and the communications team to raise awareness and understanding of food science. Formerly, Silvia was global strategist for the Center for Creative Economy (CCE), working to promote the importance of science, technology, and innovation as economic development engines. Before CCE, Silvia was part of the executive team at DCBIA, the leading commercial real estate advocacy group in the Washington DC area.
Silvia holds an MBA from American University, and an executive leadership certification from Columbia Business School. She serves on the Advisory Board for Washington Network Group and the Work Design Magazine. Silvia is the founder and chair of the Women Leadership Forum at the Washington Network Group, a membership-based program that supports women in their pursuit of high-level executive and board positions.
