Newsbite: Call for Sylvia Rowe Communication Fellowship Applications- Spread the Word and Apply Today!

Attention university students interested in nutrition and food safety communications! Applications for the 2014 International Food Information Council Foundation Sylvia Rowe Fellowship are currently being accepted. The recipient will be awarded a six to 12 week paid internship at the IFIC Foundation offices in Washington, DC.

The Sylvia Rowe Fellowship Award was established in 2008 as a tribute to the former IFIC and International Food Information Council Foundation President & CEO, Sylvia B. Rowe, to help promising nutrition and food safety communicators enhance their skills. The goal of this award is to develop skills needed for communicating nutrition and food safety information to the public. These skills are important, whether you go on to have a career in an academic setting, professional situation (either for-profit or nonprofit sector), or other public venue. Past recipients of the fellowship have continued on with careers in a variety of business and food industry organizations, clinical positions, and academic institutions.

To Apply

Prospective applicants must be currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within 12 months from the time of application) from a university undergraduate OR graduate program in nutrition, food safety, and/or journalism/communications. (Graduate students or recent graduates are preferred.) Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United Sates.
